YouNiche was an idea I had as reminisced the old magazines I used to own as a kid. Three adjectives came from this ideation: bold, colourful, and 'pop-y'. If you are going to appeal to a demographic whose attention spans are not as long as their older contemporaries, it it necessary for the visuals to be pleasing. Thus, I chose to use high contrasting colours and sizes for the text while decorating each page with interesting shapes; just enough not to make it 'too professional'. The arrangement of texts do not really follow a strict grid because I wanted to give the magazine a DIY feel, almost like a scrapbook done by an art student when planning their next masterpiece.
